Chasing Butterflies- For the girl who just kept chasing and could never let go.

Lead me out of my comfort zone,
and still I pursue.
Now miles away from home, but
I'm entranced -
you swoop and rise, flying just too high
for my straining
fingers.

Scaling new heights; and
so far out of reach, I know,
deep down,

Just a small thing... this only took me an hour or so. It's an entry for =Phlum's Emoticon Contest which was part of Emote Appreciation Day. :la:
The theme is 'Partying'!

I'm never quite sure if the term 'wallflower' is supposed to be derogatory or not. :B But I personally kind of like it. It seems... pretty, somehow. :B Beautiful and valuable, and understated.

Anyway, here's to all y'all who actually dislike parties and dancing, like myself. :giggle:

Aww, that looks great, Anna! Love the textures you applied on the dancefloor and on the wall, and the lights look awesome. Also, the emoticons are so adorable! :happybounce:

And, well, I can totally relate to that! I don't drink, I dance like RoboCop, and am socially awkward, and last time I was at a party, I was exactly like the poor, green emote. Now, my friends don't even bother inviting me to parties anymore, as they know I'll just say "no". :giggle:

Haha, this strikes a balance between adorable and heartbreaking! I don't suppose you've read, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"? When I read it, I remember being absolutely in love with the word "wallflower" and you really summed it up. Now hurry up and finish these exams so you can talk more haha! :D

I'm finished now!!! :omg: It feels so weird! But, as you can see, I'm starting to make a dent in my messages to hopefully I can talk on a more regular basis again. :giggle:

It's a fantastic book to read at our age (whoops, I forgot you're a proper adult now ;)), I'd recommend it! And hopefully you can make a dent into one devWatch in particular ahem, :cough: haha! To be honest, I'm being a total hypocrite but I promise I have been quite ill for the past few days - so sorry!
